WOO GED Cap & Gown Graduation Ceremony - July 29, Birmingham Civil Rights InstituteThe World of Opportunity (WOO) 2006 GED graduation ceremony will be Saturday Seating is extremely limited so please reserve your place today. This invite is especially extended to WOO graduates and alumni, and to GED graduates from other smaller community programs who have not had the opportunity particiapte in a formal cap and gown ceremony. In addition to the GED graduation, candidates will be inducted into the WOO chapter of the National Adult Education Honor Society, which will also include students from the WOO computer, CNA (certified nurse aide) health care, and adult basic education programs. A stand-up biffet will be served immediately after the ceremony. At 6:00 - 7:00 PM, the gallery and exhibits of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will be open to students, family, friends, and guests. This year's ceremony is made possible due to the generous support and contributions to WOO students by Alabama District 58 state representative, Oliver Robinson; and WOO Extended Community Eductional Advisory Committee members: Susan Ohanian (Vermont), and Gloria (and Kenneth) Pipkin (Florida).
